STiFS is a
series of 2-day participatory meetings of software testers and other QA
professionals who work in financial services firms.
It is a
neutral forum - not biased toward any testing methodology or supporting vendor
- to share, debate, and develop ideas on how to improve the testing of
financial software. Attendees typically
walk away from the workshop with fresh ideas and approaches, valuable hints and
tricks, and contact names of leading industry colleagues to network and share
ideas.
Participation
is by invitation only, and is usually limited to 15 people. Participants are typically a mix of
experienced QA or Test Directors, Managers, Leads, Senior Testers and
Consultants who have worked in financial firms or have a strong interest in the
quality of financial software.
Attendance
is free. There is no cost to attend,
other than your own travel, lodging, and meal expenses.
The STiFS
Workshop format is modeled after the Los
Altos Workshop on Software Testing (LAWST) and the Software Test Managers Roundtable
(STMR)
The STiFS
Workshop currently meets semi-annually.
